April 5, 2010 | NEW YORK, NY
Becoming the next Sonu Nigam or Shreya Goshal is closer than you think with Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Auditions 2010.’  TV viewers in the United States can win the chance to showcase their impressive vocal skills and talent with an audition on Zee TV’s top-rated music competition in India.

“By launching ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Auditions 2010’, Zee TV is encouraging talented South Asians to not only believe in themselves, but also to cultivate their vocal talent into long-term success,” says Jaideep Balial, Zee TV’s VP of Programming.  “Our viewers are among the most talented, ambitious and passionate people in the world, and we are thrilled to create a platform to transform their dreams into reality.”

Zee TV’s ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Auditions 2010’ allows U.S. viewers between the ages of 16 and 21 years to enter online at www.zeetvusa.com and send a DVD of 3 songs with or without music until April 16, 2010. Zee TV’s selection committee will select the singer(s) with the most impressive vocal range and talent to audition for ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ in India.  Conditions apply and please visit the website for details.

Known for skyrocketing singers like Shreya Goshal to chart-topping success and fame, ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ first aired in May 1995 and was hosted by Sonu Nigam, one of Bollywood’s most sought-after playback singers.

“My experience as a contestant on ‘Dance India Dance’ has changed my life forever, and I am truly grateful to the Zee TV family for bringing me one step closer to my childhood dreams of dancing side by side with Bollywood heartthrobs Salman Khan and Vivek Oberoi,” says Nikkitasha Marwaha, the first U.S. contestant on Zee TV’s ‘Dance India Dance.’  “I wish my fellow talented South Asians the best of luck as they sing their hearts out and reach for their dreams.”

Zee TV is available on all major cable service providers in the United States.
