(DALLAS, Texas) – May 14, 2009 –Zee TV has launched their first family-based, reality game show, “Ghar Ghar Mein”, produced by the in-house Zee TV team that brought you “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”. The show, which airs Sunday through Thursday at 7 pm ET, is a distinct show format based on fun and community, similar to America’s infamous and popular “Family Feud” show. This is a unique concept which combines emotion, entertainment, people and, of course, prize money.
The competition between two families consists of simple questions that get continuously more difficult as the rounds progress. Each family will have one “Ghar Ghar Mein” anchor by their side – Manish Paul, ex-VJ Zee Muzic and Radio Jockey; or Vipul Roy, winner of the Best Screen Personality Award in the country’s only talent hunt, “India’s Best”, and the anchor for “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Spotlight”.
The show begins with each anchor traveling to different cities around India, knocking on the doors of two neighbors and becoming part of the household. The fun really starts – and the competition begins – when the families are brought face-to-face!
In addition to the daily winners of each episode, the show will announce a Mega Winner every week. The daily winners get to take home cash prizes, traditional Indian dresses, a gift hamper and other valued price, while the weekly Mega Winner will win gold equal to their body weight and a holiday package, in addition to their daily prize.
At the show’s culmination, the winners of each city will play against winners of other cities in a Grand Finale in Mumbai. |
