Vandita calls up Sulochana and invites her to attend the Mahashivrati puja in the chawl. She excitedly mentions that Archana and Manav would perform the puja. Sulochana replies that she does not want to be a part of the whole affair and ends the conversation.

Sulochana feels bad for talking rudely to Vandita. She feels helpless for not being able to tell Manav the real reason behind Archana deciding to divorce him. Sulochana had promised Archana that she would not reveal anything to Manav. Sulochana could not see Archana ruining her life and hence decided not to attend the puja.

Manav refuses to consume the tea, which Archana prepared for him. He indirectly states that with time he had changed his preferences and drank only black tea. He adds that Archana must not go out of her way and do his work.

Arjun gets irritated when he learns from Purvi that the staff had taken an off as it was Mahashivrati. Purvi tells Arjun that it was a public holiday and every staff member would be busy performing puja in their respective households. Purvi gets irritated when Arjun gives her additional work to complete. Sulochana believes Archana was keeping a fast for Manav. She adds that it was of no use to keep the fast as Archana herself was breaking her relationship with Manav. Archana smartly changes the topic and asks Sulochana if she was attending the Mahashivrati puja. Sulochana ends the call by stating that she was not attending the puja as she could not stand Archana projecting herself in bad light. Archana is left confused on hearing Sulochana's statements.
